Track & Field Construction

Athletic Fields of America builds running tracks and field event areas for high schools, colleges, and municipal athletic complexes across the Northeast.

Most of our track projects are paired with a synthetic turf infield — football, soccer, or multi-use — so the whole complex is designed, scoped, and built as a single project under one contractor.

What We Build

Our track and field projects typically include:

Track Surface Systems

The right track surface depends on the program’s level of competition and the climate it has to survive. We work with both polyurethane and latex-bound rubber systems, each with different performance, durability, and maintenance profiles.

We help schools and municipalities select the system that fits how the track will actually be used — and how long they need it to last.

Designed as a Complete Facility

Most track projects don’t just involve the track. They involve the infield, the bleachers, the lighting, the fencing, the press box, and everything else that makes the complex usable. When we handle the whole project, the track is designed alongside the infield, the drainage is engineered for the entire footprint, and the timeline runs on one schedule.

That means your infield drains correctly into the track’s drainage system, your lighting covers the high jump apron and pole vault runway, and your bleachers are positioned where spectators can see both track and field events.

Full Project Scope

We handle every aspect of the project — not just the track installation:

Site work and grading

The most demanding tolerances of any sport surface we build. A track has to be flat, fast, and properly graded for drainage.

Drainage engineering

Designed for the full track and infield system.

Amenities

Bleachers, fencing, lighting, scoreboards, press boxes, walkways, and parking.

Project management

One point of contact from design through final walkthrough.

Featured Projects

We’ve built tracks and combined track-and-field complexes for high schools and athletic departments throughout the region. Visit our Project Gallery to see completed installations.
